Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

The short version: we collect what's needed to run dispatch, proof of delivery and billing for courier companies, and nothing more. We don't sell personal information, show ads or use tracking cookies. If you received a delivery or a tracking email from a courier that uses Stopmere, that courier controls your information; contact them first.

1. Who this covers

This policy explains how Stopmere LLC ("Stopmere", "we") handles personal information on stopmere.com and in the Stopmere app. It applies to:

  • Visitors to our website;
  • Users: courier company owners, office staff and drivers who sign in to Stopmere;
  • People in our customers' records, such as delivery recipients and the contacts of a courier's business clients.

For the third group, the courier company decides what to record and why, and we handle that information on the courier's behalf, under our Terms of Service. If that's you, please contact the courier with questions or requests. We'll help them respond.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, password (stored scrambled by our sign-in provider, never readable by us), role, and your company's name, phone, address and time zone.
  • Business records you enter: clients and their contacts, rate cards, jobs, pickup and delivery addresses, recipient names, phone numbers and email addresses, notes, custom job fields and invoices.
  • Proof of delivery: the name of the person who signed, their signature, photos the driver takes, wait time, the time of delivery and, if the driver's phone allows it, the phone's location at the moment the driver taps a step (picked up, delivered or couldn't deliver). The courier's office sees the latest of these as the driver's “last seen” place. Stopmere does not track drivers' location at any other time.
  • Vehicle safety checks: the driver, vehicle, odometer reading, checklist answers and notes.
  • Email records: the address, subject, time and delivery status of emails Stopmere sends for a courier, such as invoices and tracking links.
  • Billing: your plan and payment history. Card details are entered with our payment processor and we never see your full card number.
  • Technical data: sign-in cookies that keep you signed in, and standard server logs from our hosting providers (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) used for security and fixing problems.

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't buy personal information from anyone.

3. How we use it

  • to run Stopmere: dispatch, the driver app, pricing, invoices, reports and tracking pages;
  • to send the emails a courier asks Stopmere to send, such as invoices to their clients and delivery updates to recipients;
  • to send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation, password resets, billing and important service notices;
  • to answer support requests;
  • to keep Stopmere secure and prevent misuse;
  • to bill subscriptions and meet legal and tax obligations;
  • to improve Stopmere, using overall usage patterns rather than individual records.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data for us under their own security and privacy commitments:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (signatures and photos);
  • Vercel: website and app hosting;
  • Resend: sending email;
  • Stripe: subscription payments.

Inside Stopmere, a courier's data is visible only to that courier's users, and drivers see only the jobs assigned to them. A tracking link shows a job's status to anyone who has the link, so it is sent only to the people the courier chooses. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5. How long we keep it

We keep a courier's records while their account is open. When an account closes, we delete its data after 30 days, and backup copies are removed within a further 30 days. We keep billing records as long as tax law requires. A courier can ask us at any time to delete specific records sooner.

6. Security

All traffic to Stopmere is encrypted (HTTPS). Each courier's data is separated at the database level, so one company can't read another's. Access to our own systems is limited and protected by two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Users can view and correct most of their information in the app.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing hello@stopmere.com. We may need to confirm who you are first.
  • Drivers, recipients and client contacts should send requests to the courier company that holds their records. We'll help the courier respond.
  • You can unsubscribe from any non-essential email we send.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law. We'll honor them as required.

8. Children

Stopmere is a business tool and isn't meant for children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Where data is stored

Stopmere is run from the United States. Our service providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll email account owners before they take effect and update the date at the top of this page.
